There are a number of different amenities that students can choose to use or not. Since students learn in various ways, this course provides something for everyone. "This past semester we had both our graduate students and undergraduate students who were finally able to sign up for the Medical Terminology course without requiring permission. The course went well. Except for a few early dropouts, all students completed the course and were generally satisfied. Most of the students had not had a medical terminology course before. All students who answered my questions felt that the course was sufficiently robust for the 3 credit hours. Most students agreed that the course met their expectations and estimated that they spent between 60 to 90 hours working on the course. The only criticism was that the flash cards did not accept answers unless they were specifically worded as required. We had a few issues with undergraduate students not signing up right away and some did not join until the last minute allowed so we had to keep changing the roster. The main glitch was that the course was closed off before several students had taken the final exam, but this was all resolved. Next year we will include the final exam week before the course is locked. Importantly, the students gave a very favorable overall rating of the course."
