News: CIP Releases New Anatomy & Physiology Online Courses
The new A&P I and II courses from CIP compliment their other award-winning health science curriculum.
GAINESVILLE, FL – Caduceus International Publishing (CIP), publisher of high-quality health science curriculum for colleges and universities, has released their latest course contents: Anatomy & Physiology I and II (cipcourses.com/ap). The course is delivered in two 3-credit-hour classes and can be configured for under-graduate populations and future health professionals. The course also includes a hands-on lab for students.
This new A&P course is a welcome addition to CIP’s current catalog, which includes such courses as Medical Terminology, An Introduction to Sports Nutrition, A Survey of Human Disease, Personal and Community Health and Nutrition: A Consumer ApproachAs with Medical Terminology, this new Anatomy & Physiology course provides core curriculum for many health professions and can help prepare students for success in thousands of institutions and degree programs across the country.
“We are extremely excited to introduce this new curriculum and have been working hard with author Shannon Cox-Kelly to develop it. Our Medical Terminology course is delivered by hundreds of institutions because of its broad applicability across degree programs. We believe the same will be true with this new A&P course and can’t wait to get it in the hands of students,” said Ryan Fagerberg, President and co-founder of CIP.
“Caduceus and I have spent the last year working diligently to develop an anatomy and physiology curriculum that is both cost effective and rigorous. Our course materials will not only ensure that health and medical students master A&P, it will also allow them to do so without the exceptional cost of printed materials. Using tools such as professionally recorded lectures, digital vocabulary flashcards, medical case studies, along with multimedia diagraming and labeling, I am sure we will be able to close the gap on student attrition in A&P, as national attrition figures have hit as high as 30 to 40 percent, which is unacceptable,” stated Cox-Kelly. “We need to aggressively audit existing campus policy and procedure in order to address this problem, and the seamless delivery of cost-effective, digital content solutions that can be manipulated into online, hybridized or on-campus delivery is a major step in the right direction.”
The new course will be available January 2020 for the spring term, but faculty accounts can be viewed immediately upon request. It can be delivered through any LTI-compliant learning management system, such as Canvas or Blackboard, or directly through Caduceus’ own learning management system.
